Bayon Cycling Team is taking part in this charity event to raise funds for the Children’s hospital.
Cycle for Environment and Children’s Health (CFC) community is organizing the 7th Annual Cycling for Environment and Children’s Health fundraising event on December 18 to raise money for the Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) in Siem Reap.
Taking place on the east bank of the Siem Reap River, adjacent to the Phsar Chas Market (Old Market), the event will begin at 6am and will proceed southward to Athvear Pagoda in the village of Kakranh, a commune of Siem Reap commune.
After visiting the Buddhist monastery, cyclists will take a 30-minute break before completing the ride at Phnom Krom Eco Resort in Krasaing Roloeng village in the same commune.
As part of the event, participants will receive a T-shirt, a facemask, drinks, lunch, and snacks, as well as the chance to cycle “for the sake of personal health, friendship, and to prevent child abuse”.
In a statement on December 6, the hospital welcomed the initiative and called for more participation. All proceeds from this event will go to the AHC. In a Facebook post, it said, “Let’s make this a big event.”.
In Mondul 1 village, in Svay Dangkum commune’s Svay Dangkum commune, the AHC is located on Preah Sangreach Tep Vong Street, a few blocks west of Wat Bo Bridge which crosses the Siem Reap River.
